Decision is in!!

Thanks for the info Cvjn. Trust me, nothing wrong with her application. Her specialty is writing, and she is very good at it. I’d imagine her essay was excellent. I will say that she is OOS, white, and jewish. Do they have many of those in Ann Arbor? LOL.

haha. well what do you know? friggin waitlisted. and I was instate with 4.0 umich gpa and 32 act. applied late november, that could’ve been it :stuck_out_tongue: if it’s any consolation to peeps on this board, im not taking a spot on the waitlist :)

final decisions:

Rejected: Cornell University
Waitlisted: Columbia, UPenn, Michigan
Accepted: Brandeis, WashU, Hopkins

I took a spot on the waitlist. I figure it can’t hurt. If they notify me of an acceptance in time, I’ll go to U of M. Otherwise, it’s off to MSU’s Honors College for me.

Eh… oddly enough, there are a lot of white jewish girls here… >_>

My friend has a thing for them, and well… seems to always get involved with one every weekend…

LOL, oh when I say I feel your pain I truly mean it.

Well my niece has been going with a hockey player for about 3 years now. She keeps her weekends for him. ;-)

Seriously, is UMich mocking us? I still can’t understand why they would wait-list sooo many people.

I’m really disappointed in their admissions office.
Despite all of this, I won’t let their incompetence ruin my dream…D:
I guess I’ll just deposit the housing funds and whatnot to GaTech/UMiami (still deciding) and withdraw it if I miraculously get accepted to UM.

waitlisted

the final results:
accepted: BC, Macalester, Goucher, Muhlenberg
rejected: Pomona, Haverford
waitlisted: UM, Carleton, Skidmore, GWU, Wesleyan, Grinnell, CMC

haha beat that!!

btw i’m also pretty mad with the UMich admissions. I mean, the ER program sounded great- i figured that i would know whether or not i was accepted into an excellent school extremely early in the process. However, six months later, i still don’t have a definitive answer. i don’t really care though- i’ve lost all desire to attend that school

yes…two days ago

Does anyone know how the WL decision affects housing for freshmen? I mean, if they tell us we are accepted in August, how do we get housing? Or do we live on the streets?

We probably get the ****tiest rooms…but at least we get accepted.

officially waitlisted and officially declined :)

^^Did u get snail mail?

i just got my waitlist letter via snail mail (was out of town yesterday) …i read it once and then teared it into the smallest pieces i could manage

immature? maybe.

but it felt pretty damn good

I can understand the frustration helpmegetin! I’m sure it’s a relieve either way. Best of luck to you.

nw2012, no email or letter. My D checked Wolverine Access and it was there.

Are there any internationals who haven’t heard yet? I’m such and I still have no word via email, nor WA. It’s frustrating to hear that a large batch of applicants have heard, excluding me.

You’ll know for sure by the 15th.

I’ve totally forgotten about that deadline, lol. After hearing about so many people having heard already, it’s just slipped my mind that the deadline is two days away. Thanks for the pinch in the memory cells.

Wow, I totally forgot that I applied UMich. Where the crap is my decision?
