Decision Made-Inform Other Choices

Many of you senior posters have already received acceptances from some of your college/university choices. If, after after a serious family discussion, you know one or two of these would not be a good fit for financial or other reasons do let the colleges know of your decision. Send a polite note of regret.

A college that may not be a good match for you could be a dream school for another senior applicant. Admission decisions are still being made across the country.

As stated above have a family discussion about your choices giving full consideration to factors of fit, distances, scholarships, financial aid and available majors before sending any notice to an admissions office.

And please do not commit to anything until you have all of your options! I cannot stress that enough.

Victoria,

Many students these days apply to 10-15 choices. Some have already received responses from 6 or 7 admission offices. If a student has received all the information, including financial aid packages, etc., from top choices why keep other colleges waiting who will not be selected? I did not suggest making a committment to one choice at this time.
