decisions.ARENTfinal?

Hi all,

I was recently or at least ‘apparently’ rejected on minerva by mcgill for music. Is this to mean that it may not even be rejection since decisions aren’t “final”? WEIIIIIIIIIRd.

I believe that in the context of university admissions, the concept of finality translates to ‘barring further developments’. This mostly means that they can still reject those who are accepted, rather than the opposite. One might appeal the decision, but it is something of a long shot:

I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Look for alternatives.

jeremybeach, appealing a decision from the faculty of music is not worth pursuing, you were most likely rejected based on an audition, which is something you can’t appeal- honestly, you should really start pursuing your other options at other institutions. I said before that the school is extremely competitive; there were hundreds of applicants for the voice program, and many many talented applicants could not be accepted.
