Decisions, decisions.

Are some men actually this clueless?

If the groom-to-be is any kind of decent human being, he would tell the best man to go home and be with his very pregnant wife.

I loved Carolyn’s answer, it was just perfect! I would guess that most men are not that clueless, just a few.

When I was in the Air Force, one of my squadron mates was just dying to take a short, 2 day flight, a week before his wife was due. So he took the chance, and took that flight. Of course, she gave birth while he was gone. They were divorced within a few months of the babies birth. Just sayin…not a wise choice!

Yep, sounds like this marriage might end up on the shoals of divorce court at some time in the future…

Although now that I think about it, while my 31st anniv is next week, I can think of a few things H did during the first couple years of our marriage that were pretty clueless.
 :frowning: :stuck_out_tongue:
Luckily most men are educable, and I suspect the advice seeker, if he actually is real and not a composite, knows where his responsibilty lies.

During S’s birth I hemorrhaged badly, and had to be put under. Would have been so unfortunate if H had not been there and I hadn’t survived. Father dear should get a clue :)

I remember that my dh wanted to go to his grandmother’s funeral out of state around the time I was due. HIS mother told him no!
