@viciousdirt if you feel confortable telling. how much did you get? or how much would you need to take out in parent PLUS loans?

I couldn’t seem to find the criteria (both GPA and test scores) for each of the major merit money awards. Anyone find the distinctions?

This is so frustrating, and as another mom put it, I’m “spent”. Been waiting for a week now, no email or active my slice, and now have to wait another week? Does anyone know why they only send emails out on Fridays? Also hoping that the next wave does not have less financial aid offered, because it seems like a lot of aid/packages/scholarships were awarded, based on this discussion thread. Good luck to all who are still waiting!

Did anyone get into the Bandier program? :)

@imi1928, i will have to take out about $8,000 in PLUS, but about 90% of my aid was in grant.

can you see merit money awarded in myslice? if so where? or do they only come in the official package?

@viciousdirt. ah ok yeah that good. Congrats!:)

I was hoping for something around that, but i would need to take out 15K in PLUS loans and then my aid award included 7K in loans. So 22K i would have to pay back…can we appeal or something for more money?

If you got merit money it should be in my slice in your financial aid package.

yrod

congrats on your acceptance -and great financial package-

$5000 a year is a great deal if you can do it. But be careful when you compare your awards to make a decision.

Did they offer you $40,000 in grants/scholarships-or does your award include student loans also?

has anyone figured out exactly what their method is behind telling you when your accepted or rejected. Because a girl form my town got into the college of arts and sciences which is the one i applied to and im stressing a little bit… also when would the next wave of emails come?

There does not appear to be any rhyme or reason as far as the notifications. Seems that all schools are sending notices and rejections. The SU website says that notification has begun, don’t get discouraged if you didn’t hear, and notices will go out weekly. (I’m paraphrasing).
Good luck. We are now counting down until this Friday (yet again).

Happy with the acceptance! Wasn’t really giving much thought to going here but they ended up giving me a pretty tremendous amount in aid, so it definitely is now a top choice for me. Good luck and congrats everyone!

Just a thought. We are “G” and have not heard yet.

hi everyone! i was just accepted on friday but i just wanted to let everyone who has not heard yet to not give up hope!

@4cuse16 i think it must be random or by school because one of my friends and myself were accepted on friday, but another person at our school was rejected…don’t give up hope…the timing does not mean anything!

@oreo2362 i do not think it is alphabetical because the person from my school who got rejected is a “B,” i was accepted and am “L,” and and my friend who also got accepted is a “Z.” good luck!

I doubt they have went through all of the applications yet. They emailed me about a week ago asking me for missing info (which I did send in, anyway…) so I would think they notify based on the computer system. I’m international, though

When I click on Admission Accpetance Form on the MySlice, it says unable to access page at this time. Five of my friends heard back and I’m still waiting. Does anyone know when the last day actual letters are sent out is so I can count on a paper letter instead of the MySlice?

my son applied the second week of September for regular Decision. All of his other schools had an EA or rolling date. I was thinking that helped him get in that first round. Thank God, I couldn’t have taken another day, time to make a decision, send a deposit and pick a dorm and buy a new tie for prom!

Large white envelope arrived today with acceptance letter but NO Financial Aid package. Anyone else get their acceptance through snail mail? If so was your FA offer included?

@collmomof2 did you get an email this friday before you go the envelope or no…
