Did you get into Bandier or not? We’re also waiting to hear from Bandier.

Any other Bandier people? Did you get in?

@crimeinparis, yes.

Heard from Syracuse yesterday. They are still reviewing applications, from what I understand; I was told that I would receive a decision in the second week of April. Very, very late, no idea why too. International CAS applicant if it helps.

Navna, that is nuts. Sorry about that.

@CrimeInParis, yes, my S just heard yesterday afternoon that he got into Bandier

I’m tired of waiting, i think it’s rude from Syracuse to do this nonsense, I’d better look for some other options.

@colormaker, Syracuse set a deadline for the end of march…it’s frustrating that others have heard, and we haven’t, but it’s not exactly their fault.

That said, I am super anxious to find out the decision! I hope it comes by next week.

I am not frustrated at the other people having heard, lysa! I am actually happy for them, but I think Syracuse should have notified everyone at the same time, god or bad news, don’t you think?

Check your spam folders in your email!

I found out about my acceptance via email, but the email that clued me in was notifying me that my financial aid package was available. I received this email on March 18th. The letter telling me that my admission decision was ready and that I could view it online was sent to my spam folder. Didn’t see it until three days later, after I already received the official notification by mail!

thanks bns! but no, it is not in the spam folders, btw, congrats!!

anyone else hopelessly checking myslice over and over again hoping something changes? ahahah

^^Yup. 'cuse is my #1 school and its the ONLY school I still have not heard from.

same! so frustrating.

GQUdad - Yeah, I know. By then I would have heard from everywhere else. I’ve already got a place at UCL too, among others. I really like Syracuse’s feel but obviously, they don’t like me as much as everywhere else.

Navna, the admission departments at these schools are bureaucratic so I really wouldnt draw that conclusion. My Daughter also hasnt heard from Syracuse yet and she also heard from all of her other schools. Look, maybe the info you got was wong. Mid April is not reasonable. Let’s hope you are notified before April 1. Best of Luck, Navna.

Thanks! I hope they are just giving me a late deadline so that they can give me a pleasant surprise =)

Jetsny, Dude, aren’t you the guy that started this thread like months ago? It stinks that syracuse seems to have lost is admissions MOJO this year. It seems previous years they had a bit of a formula; starting the friday BEFORE break and every friday a few weeks thereafter? This year the first, albeit, larger roll out was a week late and then it seems like NOTHING has been heard from CUSE? The good news is that it seems the one announcement day they had kids were admitted and denied…right? I’m discounting the weather as a factor because it’s upstate NY…(I grew up in Rochester and Jamestown and Syracuse is like Sarasota compared to them) Somethings amiss. Maybe a new computer system? My son applied RD in September, has anyone NOT heard who applied before Dec 1? I think these schools who announce way later than others kind of shoot themselves in the foot. My son applied to a ton of schools, all but two rolling and EA so he’s had 11 acceptances to ponder since first hearing in October. Even amongst his EA/rolling schools the one’s who announce later had almost all lost the luster from the list. Syracuse was a big reach for him and one he didn’t plan on getting in-so now he’s Plan B-ing it with a last minute visit. To hedge our bet, we actually accepted his #1 choice school’s offer and registered for housing because that school started rolling out decisions in November and there are some cra*py housing options if you don’t register early enough that can be deal breakers. If he decides on the 11th-hour Syarcuse offer…we’ve just eaten $500 bucks.

Mojo is the best description you could have given!
I fell that if I am to be accepted, the mojo has declined significantly by now, for it would have been 3 weeks of waiting for an answer. In the meantime, other schools gave their answers at once, and at least you don’t have that “third batch feeling” along with it. So, yes, unless I get a significant amount of scholarship money from Syracuse, y desire to go there is gone to the drain.I am sure all of the other thirdbatchers feel the same.

I still want to go to cuse even though I’m a third batch-er, but this whole process is so frustrating, especially now that we only have about a month to make a decision. It’s also frustrating when friends and family keep asking me if I’ve made a decision, because a notification from cuse is my determining factor. :/
