Is there a difference as to admission rate if you declare a major or not?

Yea, I also want to know if I apply for their new business admin. Undergrad major, if it would affect my admission or not

some majors are impacted. Like engineering.

There is definitely a difference in admissions requirements for different majors. For example, let’s imagine admissions being a point system. There are exceptions to the following information for very crowded/popular majors. In a general sense, all social science/social ecology majors require the same amount of points. Physical sciences will be around the same area too. Biological sciences (any type) will be a bit higher than both of the previous sets and engineering will require the most. Because business admin is completely new, I cannot answer that.

i’m looking into CLS, do you know if its really competitive for that particular major at irvine?

Our crimlaw program is 4th in the nation I believe. This is according to the 2006 rankings. It is definitely impacted/competitive.
