Declining Admission

Hi guys,

After 2 years of SAT and TOEFL preparation I finally got accepted at 4 universities so far. 2 in California, 1 in Alabama and 1 in Boston. I am an international student from Germany, and I always had the dream to study abroad, especially in the USA. So actually my dream came true, but nevertheless my family's sitution changed and we cannot afford the whole 4 years anymore, so I have to decline every single admission. This is kind of tough for me, but what can you do.
My question is now, do I have to write an email to every single university that I wont attend their college or can I simply 'ignore' their emails until I am not granted admission anymore ?
This may be a little bit bold, but its much easier.

In the time it took you to log into CC, you could have shot the four emails to the colleges. It’s just a polite thing to do.

T26E4 is right: “much easier” is just making excuses for not doing something you wish you didn’t have to do. I’m truly sorry that your plans to get your education in the U.S. didn’t work out, but that’s no excuse for not doing the right thing here.
