Dedman Distinguished Scholars Program

I am trying to find more details for this program, but am not having any luck. The letter says there is support for study abroad and research. It also mentions study with senior faculty and activities for Dedman Award winners.
Is there a website with more details? Can a current Dedman scholar please fill me in?
My son is supposed to give his answer about this scholarship tomorrow.

Sorry if this isn’t in time:
the best person to talk to with questions about the details of the program is Dr. Larry Carver, who is the LAH director and also runs the Dedman program.
I’m a first-year Dedman scholar, and the first year program is mostly tuition and financial support, with a few luncheons and field trips as well.
As you get further into the University and would like funding for things like research or study abroad, you can petition for funding and I believe it is usually granted, but I am not 100% positive.
But if you have any questions Dr. Carver will certainly be able to answer them.

Thanks-- spoke with him today. It sounds like you are correct about funding for research and study abroad.
