I am from Denmark and I just finish 10th grade in a international class. My next semester will be at Green River Community College. I want to study at Deerfield or something similar but it is too late to apply for 2012/13. I am therefore forced to finish 11th grade in Denmark after a semester at GRCC.

Is it possible to move from a Danish high school to Deerfield after 11th grade?
And which grades do they want to see? My grades from 10th grade sucks big time but I am pretty sure that my grades from GRCC will be great.

They will want to see grades from all the years of High School. Plus SSAT tests and probably Toeffl. Is GRCC a high school or a college? Boarding Schools won’t accept you if you have graduated from your country’s secondary (HS) School. But since the applications are due Jan, they will rely on the last year’s grades the most, not grcc.

Thank you very much for your answer!
GRCC is a college. I am there with my class (high school) on a school trip for a semester. It is because the schools in Denmark are years ahead of USA. High school is not challenging enough.

Well, then I am in big trouble. I am a entrepreneur and I have been busy with my company so this year’s grades are bad. In fact, all my grades went from A to B/C in one year. But I improved all my grades from C/B to straight As but 2 grades in one year so I have proved that I am capable of studying when needed.

If my SSAT is really good and my grades sucks, do you think that they will accept me?

PS: Some old classmates from Denmark studied 11th grade in USA after 9th grade in Denmark. I am told that I can be a senior this year, if I chose the right school but boarding schools will not accept me this late. I am considering a small local HS because it is much easier, according to my friends.
