Deers?

"Incorrect form to express plural number:

He shot two deers.

He shot two deer."

I’m confused. Which one’s correct?

Deer is always correct. Lately I’ve heard that the rules have been changed so that you can say things like deers and fishes, so I’m not exactly sure about deers but deer is correct.

If he shot two different species of deer such as one whitetail deer and one mule deer the first sentence would be correct.

If he shot two deer of the sames species such as two whitetail deer the second sentence would be correct.

Lemaitre1 is correct, also they would never ask this question on the actual SAT (unless the qualifying condition is also stated).
