Would taking an additional subject test to send in as a supplemental material be worth the money/time/stress? How much could it really affect their evaluation?

If you feel scores were holding you back, definetely try it. It can only help, because if you do poorly, you just won’t send it…

If you already have two subject tests that are above a 700, it does have less of an impact. If that’s the case, I’d try to focus on something else (an additional teacher recc, a new award, a part time job, an internship, etc.)

@jamesjunkers I already have two subject tests over 700 so I guess I won’t sign up. Thanks for your advice!

Yeah, if that’s the case, I definetely think it’s really not worth it. You have already shown Cornell you can take tests.

An exception may be if you’re applying for engineering, and want to take physics or math ii, or if you’re applying for English and want to take lit - that may be helpful, as you can say in your letter of interest that you have taken relevant tests

@jamesjunkers Thanks!
