For current students who were deferred and then admitted in the RD round, what did you do during this period of time? Did you accomplish anything that you weren’t able to by the time you submitted the application (ecs, awards, etc.)? Did you improve your test scores? Or did you just study hard in school and got satisfactory grades?

I believe Princeton loves kids that take ownership of their education and an independent research effort is a great way to show that quality. My son did a research summer project with a friend in a garage, they had an amazing self-directed experience, learned many things and had lots of fun. My son was admitted SCEA to Princeton, his friend to MIT.
