So from the moment I found out I was deferred (I applied as a visual arts major), I began to bombard Libby Pearson and the admissions office with more supplementary artwork, an english essay, and a formal letter stating my reasons for why Chicago is still my first choice. I kept her updated with things that I’ve been doing since December, like my internship at a Graphic Design company, community service events…etc.

I’m just wondering whether this might have increased my chances of getting in regular decision or if it merely just annoyed them.

I’m also worried about my art portfolio. I included a set of classroom doodles. They are basically drawings that I submitted on my class notes. I do them in my science and math classes.
