Deferred BC - Chances with LD?

Is anyone familiar with acceptance at BC with a learning difference?
My D has a mild LD that mostly affects reading (which translates to it affects everything). She has documentation but does not use accommodations in her HS. She did send all the paperwork as requested by BC as she would probably need some assistance in a college environment.

She was deferred EA.
Stats:
SAT M 630 CR 610 WR 620
All honors classes and 3 APs junior year, Biology taken at local university (B), 4 APs senior year
Class rank top 15%
WGPA 4.25
Lots of Ecs – 250+ hours
Lacrosse – Freshman team captain, varsity 10, assistant coach 11,12 with letter of rec
Great teacher recs
Work 10 hours per week, 30 in summer.
Good essays (good enough to get deferral)

I understand that her stats are low for BC. There must be some leeway for LD or she would have been denied EA, right? She has taken the most challenging courses available even with her LD and earned half As, half Bs, one C.

Could she be accepted RD?

Thanks!

Also, Scottj advises several to put specifics about BC in the essay. BC is on the common app which goes to many schools. How is this possible? They do not ask for an essay on the supplement.

You can create multiple versions of the Common App. I did not have any essay tailored to a specific school, and I was still accepted.

I have zero knowledge of BC’s admissions policies and what they may or may not offer in the way of accommodations. But the answer to your last question is a one-page letter to BC that says something to the effect, “I was disappointed for being deferred EA. BC is my top choice, and… [explain why your D is a good fit for them.]” The hard part is not repeating what makes BC great – they already know that – but what your D brings to the educational community in Chestnut Hill. After reading her essay, you want the adcom to think, ‘hmmmm, she would make an excellent roomate, or study buddy, or conversation partner for dinner…’

Thanks, D will write a letter. BC is absolutely her 1st choice. Hopefully she will have some other info to send in the next few months, as well.
BC has a great learning center for all students who want some assistance, and great services for LD kids. The key is gettin in!
