deferred: can i submit past activities i didn't include during EA?

I have some old community service projects from 10th and 11th grades that i didn’t include in my EA resume because I didn’t want my resume running more than 2 pages. But now that i’m deferred… can I just submit them now? would they find it weird that i didn’t include it before?

if i submit them, should i submit an addendum or a new resume altogether?

I don’t think it’s a good idea to advise Yale of information you could have included in your original application; if it wasn’t important enough to include then, it’s presumably not important enough now. On the other hand, if you’ve received NEW honors or awards or participated in NEW activities since you submitted your EA application, those are definitely worth reporting to Yale Admissions: Write a letter about them and ask your GC to include it with his/her midyear report.

i included a few activities in my Brown resume that i didn’t mention on the commonapp - but they were only a couple of things that i now realize could really help my application. I wouldn’t old activities unless you really think they might make a difference.

i do think they could help. i just didn’t have space for them, but i do think they’re significant.

and oh, should i include a note that i didn’t include those activities because i wanted to keep my resume within 2 pages, but now hope that they would give a more completre picture of me?

all in all, i’m just willing to try anything as long as they won’t hurt me

haha i feel the same way! I mean, get a second opinion because i’m just a senior like yourself but I attached my updated resume with a letter reiterating that brown is still my first choice, etc. and very short descriptions (about 2-3 sentences each) of the activities i added to the resume. When i talked about the ones that were old but i was just adding i said that simply said that I did not include these activities on my original resume, but in retrospect I feel that they will provide the admissions committee with a more accurate understanding of my accomplishments and passions. I kind of tried not to make a big deal out of the fact that i was adding things i should have put on the original resume :P

i’m probably gonna do the same thing as you piratemonkey. my only worry is that because those activities aren’t mentioned earlier and because my GC doesn’t mention them either, would they have reason to question whether or not those activities are true or false?
