Hello, I was deferred for the summer term also and I’m really nervous. Do you think you can tell me what you said when you called admissions. I really want to get accepted.
@HelloR2 Hi! I totally understand, I was super nervous too but try to remain calm and think of solutions. Can I ask what are your stats (Recalculated GPA, ACT/SAT score) are and if you’re in the top 10% of your class?
@HelloR2 Just saw your post, I will reply to you on there
I am a transfer student and i was deferred also but then got accepted today, I dont think its a bad thing being deferred they just need more time to review
same with my son. if I call admissions what do I say for them to change there decision? DO i resubmit the transcript? Anybody knows how to deal with that over the phone.
It says this though "Your application for admission to the University of Central Florida has been carefully considered by the Admissions Committee. Due to the academic strength of this year’s applicant pool, we regret that we are unable to offer you admission. " does that mean there is no chance at all?
Hi! I was also deferred then accepted, this is what I said on the phone-
“Hi, my application status shows I’ve been deferred and I was hoping you could tell me why?” They will probably tell you it just means they need more time to make a decision and point out what is lacking in your application. They will then most likely offer to transfer you over to one of the guidance counselors/admission officers, if they don’t then just ask Say the same thing to the guidance counselor and see what feedback they give you. Make sure to let them know you would also be very happy with being placed into summer. Also, make sure when you call that they actually look at your application- you will know they are looking at it when they ask for your full name and date of birth.
@Rosen1001 Oh sorry, just read your second message. Unfortunately that means he was rejected
I’m not sure how the appeal process works but maybe you could look into that! Getting his AA at Valencia College then transferring to UCF through directconnect is another very good option. Good luck!
