Deferred from Berkeley

I got deferred from my dream college and I am very confused how this works. Cal said that I am accepted for Spring 2009, but what do I do for the fall, just stay home?

I looked online and an alternative to staying at home is to go to Berkeley for a program called FPF or go to a community college for a quarter, but if I get a 2.0 or less in any case, I will be revoked from Berkeley. So would it be safe to stay at home and go at 2009, or just start building credits at the FPF program? Am I still guaranteed to Berkeley if i get a 2.0 GPA from the FPF program???

Please help, I am so lost…

FPF is not difficult so you should easily be able to get above 2.0. If you don’t mind paying more to do FPF (opposed to staying home/cc), you should definitely do FPF.

Here are some opinions about FPF (http://community.livejournal.com/ucberkeley/2906527.html</a>)

You’re really not “defered”… you’re a Cal student, no questions asked. I have a few friends who have also been admitted spring 2009… and yeah it may seem kinda lame now but its actually not bad at all, and kinda cool! So don’t worry, and GO BEARS!
