Deferred from Clemson and or University of South Carolina 2024

Y’all are killing me with the source page. On usc source page lots of links for transfer credits from sc technical school so either it’s a fluke or we are getting bridge there and on Clemson it says application plan BR🤷🏼‍♀️

#1 and 2 being these two, UofSC and Clemson, like many of us?

I’m blaming the Common App for all these deferred, stressed-out kids. It’s too easy to shoot off an application, even if you have no intention of going to the school, just so you can say, “I got into XYZ University”. Back in the day, it was a royal pain in the butt to fill out each college’s app so we were very selective. No wonder every college now is reporting a record number of applications. I just feel bad for the kids who should have had no problem getting admitted to these schools a few years ago, getting deferred or rejected now. Okay, that’s my rant. I’m done.

Agree 1,000 %

I know a lot of people were just following their school counselor’s advice to apply to several ideal schools, a few safety schools and a few reach schools, but before you know it, you’ve applied to 10+ schools and the system gets all clogged up! Then it’s just a numbers game for the universities. Plug in your GPA and don’t even look at the essays or extra-curriculars because how could they find the time to sift through 80,000 apps?!

I told you it would cause mega frustration! lol. I’ve been up nights googling front end, back end, html, linking to server, etc.

It’s actually funny to me I just texted my friend “ I have a problem :joy:

The only time I think it may show something is a few minutes before decisions are released. With Virginia Tech, 10 minutes before, everyone was saying the word “admit” showed up 17 times for applicants who were admitted.

I’m really stressing myself out over here lol…
my twin sister already committed and my stats are not as good as hers. I also applied to health science which is super hard to get into. I’m expecting a bridge

I know y’all seaching the word “admit” right now…

Is your older daughter in state or legacy?

My print button is gone. Still have withdraw though.

What would that mean??

I don’t know. Is anyone else seeing this behavior
