Deferred from Clemson and or University of South Carolina 2024

That’s not how Bridge works, which is great. It is all automatic. My daughter was Bridge last year

Idk it could definitely be a mistake. Because if one of us is going to get bridged, it’s gonna be me

oh ok! Nevermind then. Maybe it means something better! Fingers crossed for you!

I don’t think it means bridge because you’d not be a whole new application

Maybe when you logged in, you accidentally started a new application? So easy to do!

But it would not say transfer

I think Transfer application means Spring admit

Only 50% (per last CDS) submitted - and 1300 is right at the mid point (1280) - I wouldn’t be alarmed if they’re not included but they might have helped. The major may impact that decision as to whether you should or should not have submitted too.

When my daughter applied two years ago, while they were TO, you had to submit something - like an AP if you went TO. Not sure if that’s changed. Or perhaps that was for Honors.

Good luck.

Just got off the phone. The poor people at Clemson seem really stressed. But anyway they accidently triggered it for a small group of students. The lady said it means nothing and was just an error by the tech team.

Good!! That’s what I figured…

Interesting - I guess, if I were a parent, the question I might have is (assuming merit aid), might this change the merit aid?

Clemson is not generous with merit, I wouldn’t expect any for a January admit.

Fair - if they’re a January admit to begin with, it unlikely came with any.

Good point.

I was just thrown that they say - now you’re a transfer. But I guess it’s semantics at that point.

At least we had some excitement today

Just checked info and it says that she had up until Jan 15 to change her test scores status. Ugh. We still emailed her AO, most likely not going to change since she missed the deadline. Really hope all her other info is holistically reviewed. She really LOVED the U of SC campus.

1300 is great!!! I think there’s nothing to worry about!

That’s crazy that the mistake happened to the most tech savvy one in this group! Lol. Good luck everyone.

Last year or the year before (can’t remember, read several threads) the psychology department sent out emails early by mistake welcoming people to Clemson.

I agree but sadly they are not being considered because she checked the wrong box back in October :frowning: She applied to the U of SC honors college and they required them, so that is why we sent them. So admissions in HC has them but normal admissions shows they are not being considered. I think at this point I will have her call.
