This is the kid with the deepest base of admissions knowledge on this forum. He’s going to have some stories to tell when this is all over. You should write a book, Ae1231.
Oh! I misread…I agree, she can call.
My son makes me look it up and then asks me. I think the tension of the page loading etc is too much for him. I feel bad when I get to see all the confetti and stuff first, and I don’t think it’s any easier to hear it from me when he doesn’t get in- I rip it off like a bandaid, there is no easing into it.
Do you have a ton of AP credits or DE that would have you coming in upper level?
That’s very curious. I wonder where a spring admit freshman lives? The dorms are full, except for the small amount of kids that quit after fall….but they can’t know that number in relation to January admits.
Regarding the question about how we find out, my kid does it herself, on her own. She wants it that way. She can be excited and tell us right away, or she can take a few minutes to digest a rejection or deferral and then tell us.
My kid manages the application process on their own. We helped answer questions for some admssions questions, FAFSA and CSS profile, reviewed essays, etc. But I do not have access to her application portals, nor do I want to. It’s hers to manage becuase IMO if she can’t manage the application process, she’s going to have a difficult time managing her life at college.
Once she commits we will be more involved with advising her on housing selection, dining plans, financial aid.
Anyone else starting to freak out? I attend a small private school and based on scoir, my school does not have a good track record with Clemson, with just 17% of students getting in in the last few years. My gpa is much higher than anyone who’s applied but I’m worried its not looking too good for me
Are you OOS?
yes
Being the top applicant will help! What major?
buisness with second choice econ, i know this is more competetive
I bet you’ll be fine! Try not to stress about it…their decision is done so you’ll make the best of what you’re offered…I hope it’s an admit!
Business is not a competitive major at Clemson.
Thank you!
How do you know?
U of SC is more competitive for business I heard.
Someone posted a list way up in this thread. Business was not on the list.
I hear mixed things about buisness for clemson. Some say its more competetive, others say it’s not so I really dont know
It’s probably in the middle. Not totally competitive but not as easy as like history or something.
You have two options which is great…if you’re within their realm they’ll offer you admit but ask you to chose another major, if it’s filled, for example.
