I am currently a high school senior and just got my Cornell ED results back last night. I got a deferral and am not sure what to do now? Does anyone have any suggestions?
You can send a letter of continued interest, and if they are still your first choice, reinforce that. Have you GC send updated grades at the end of the semester, and let them know if you have any new awards or significant accomplishments.
Beyond that, make sure you have a well balanced list with other schools you love, that are less selective, just in case Cornell doesn’t come through in RD.
Good luck!
Take a day to be mad/sad/disappointed and then get cracking on your other applications! That’s the best path forward for you right now…
Sorry to hear about the deferral.
Have you submitted any other apps/been admitted anywhere else yet?
I agree with the posts above about updating Cornell and then getting the rest of your apps out. Are you considering applying ED2 anywhere?
I have been admitted to two safeties and applied to a few UC schools, UT Austin, RPI, and Northeastern. I am planning on applying to Purdue as well.
Yes, move on. You may want to apply ED2 somewhere too.
