Deferred from Cornell.....

<p>I just got deferred from the ILR school at Cornell and I am wondering what my chances are at some of my other schools. I am interested in business by the way.</p>

<p>SATs: 790m, 630v = 1420</p>

<p>GPA: 3.6</p>

<p>Recs: I assume pretty good</p>

<p>Essays: Very good</p>

<p>ECs:</p>

<p>Captain - wrestling (4 yr varsity) (I also volunteer coaching a youth team)

Parliamentarian - Student Council
Student Representative - District Nutrition Board

Volunteer at local Senior Center</p>

<p>you wont get into cornell, brown, hopkins. NYU and UM are tossups, youll get into villanova and BU</p>

Brown University: Nope
Johns Hopkins University: Nope
New York University (Stern): BIG maybe
Boston University: Yup
Villanova University: Yup
University of Michigan: Toss-up but I think yes</p>

<p>My advice is to add some places in between these, your only match is Michigan. Add a place like Emory, Boston College, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Tufts, etc.</p>

<p>Batman, NYU stern is very different than normal NYU.</p>

<p>i applied to Cornell last year with stats like yours, actually mine was a little better, but in RD i was rejected :(.
my scores were imba, 800M, 600V!!! JUST LIKE YOURS! they see it as a type of handicap!</p>
