@SarahCT23 - we’re from Charleston, so many kids go to Coastal and have a great experience.

We are moving to Charleston…JI specifically :grinning:

This is a deferred page for SC so I would head to the other page for these questions so those waiting can focus on tips and updates for hopeful good outcomes .

My daughter’s 3rd choice after Clemson and USC, was going to be Coastal. Beautiful campus with TONS of school spirit.

Clemson? My dtr was undeclared for Clemson and is for U of SC…so competitive

Thank you!!

How so?

How academic are the students? Did not apply to honors, and have seen some videos of girls on the campus coming across as not very bright – but these are youtube videos, so…

I follow a parents of CoC FB page and see alot of posts related to housing challenges, etc. Its insightful.

I have a friend who’s dtr is a senior at CofC and has done v well there and loves it. Smaller classes, great professors who give attention to the students, and yes, housing can be expensive.

Called admissions today asked if by mid March means on mid March or could come before. She said no firm date yet. They are weeding through 50k applications and they’ve never seen this much :face_with_peeking_eye:ugh so not getting hopes up it will before mid March

By mid-March many families will have taken USCC off their list, and might not easily pivot back to wanting to attend.

Yes, its brutal. My daughter is really leaning toward other schools. I’m still holding out hope for u of SC for my daughter, b/c I honestly think its the best fit for her, but when you’re left waiting from early October, I am seeing how the resentment/apathy over it grows…

I was under the impression March 1st. Do you think its this Saturday 24th? Would be great if so, this process is taking way too long.
