Bridge seems like a joke it’s 750 deposit that’s non refundable and says first come first serve filled up with in 48 hrs last year who would do that with out getting questions answered visiting a session no other programs are that much pressure they give you a date to commit by and you’ll be guaranteed a spot . This may not be for us not impressed by usc
My daughter googled and it gives her a list, perhaps try that. Her second choice was undecided and that didn’t help either. She wishes she knew prior to applying and she said tonight if she had known she would have chosen differently. Wise decision. Good Luck.
Same. After much deliberation we accepted wait list but are also moving on with other options. If the door opens again then will consider but may feel differently by then if too late. Figure what have we got to lose, we already invested so much time, energy and money into this school.
Sorry Sarah. Best of luck at Coastal!!
Thank you! Going to wait on merit from LSU and last minute app to U of Tampa…
What is the choice for yours?
We re-toured Fairfield and UCONN this weekend as we had a planned trip to see UDel. Right now UoSC remains #1 in the slim chance she accepted waitlist. Otherwise she really liked UDel and UCONN. So pending UCONN result, it will be one of those 2, as we wait for waitlist probably through end of May (only).
UTampa is still open? Good luck!
Good luck w waitlist, and UCONN! We are also waiting on UCONN. My dtr’s friend is going to U of Tampa and it goes until March 1, rolling thereafter. I’m trying to keep an open mind.
My OOS son was denied. I pushed for him to apply just to add another SEC school to his list that included UTK & LSU. He is not a high stat applicant (3.3/3.6; 27 ACT) but but I was hoping to add another drivable-from-home option for mama. He currently has SMU (Cox), LSU, and JMU as options and the last domino is UTK.
Good luck in Columbia for all those who attend USC (attend the women’s basketball games!).
My dtr too…similar stats….we are moving on!
We haven’t heard anything- deferred from EA. Anyone else not hear?
Be careful with UCONN. They like to sell all the activities on campus but there’s a lot of students that go home on the weekends and there is not much to do off campus.
Bridge is a summer program with 48 spots. The gateway program is 1 year at a Community college to transfer in. If your child did well in high school, not sure they would be challenged during gateway, IMO.
Do you have to indicate on the application at USC that you want bridge? What are the admitted stats for this? Can you join a fraternity? Thanks!
My daughter was accepted, but will be going elsewhere. So at least one spot on the waitlist will be opening up.
With the new USC Commitment, admissions were more competitive than ever.

So if not accepted or rejected, am I understanding it right that a student might get 1) option to enroll in summer bridge (only 48 spots) w/ $750 enrollment fee 2) enroll in gateway to local CC (live on campus?) and transfer to main campus after 1 year assuming the credits and gpa are met or 3) accept a spot on the wait-list. Do you know if a student is offered all or just one option if not accepted or rejected?
Wondering the same thing. If we chose to stay on the waitlist will they either be full accept or full reject? I really don’t want to hold out just to be offered costly options.
Your best bet here is to call admissions.
just got off the waitlist at South Carolina–anyone else?
