<p>Well i was deferred from CALS for bioeng…now im wondering if this has any impact…well i wrote i did varsity xc and got 1 varsity letter on the app…but i never mentioned any awards…and i have lots of them…also i never mentioned that we got 3 rd in State for Division 3 in California?? SHould i bother sending a “resume” or paper thing with a list and picture of my awards…or is it not that significant?</p>
<p>You should probably show that you had a diversity of interests in high schoo. XC was something good to be involved in, but unless they are recruiting you to run for Cornell (which they obviously arent), this isn’t going to carry huge weight by itself. I would focus more on scholastic or community-service-type achievements. The key is to show that you are well-rounded; if you have the combination of athletics, scholarship, and community involvement then people will take notice. If you are just talking about XC awards, then sending them stuff will be beating a dead horse and won’t help you. However, if you are referring to awards outside of this that were not mentioned on the app, then I would send it.</p>
