<p>I was recently deferred from upenn early decision 
I originally planned to apply to emory for early decision II if i was rejected but i never had a plan for if i was deferred. MY dilema: if i apply to emory early decision II and get in then i’ll never know if i could have gotten into upenn and i love upenn. Also upenn for me is free cuz my parents work there. The chances of getting into upenn once deferred is 15% and reg is 21%. I dont think i could get into emory reg and the chances of getting early is 60% while reg is 40%. what should i do apply to emory early decision or wait…</p>
<p>getting into college is not gambling, the odds are not that big of a deal. Sure, they might take only 10% of applications or however many, but that might be because they get a large amount of underqualified applicants. You should not base your decision on percentages, but on where you want to attend.</p>
