I’m a high school student who was deferred to NC State for the early admission. I wanted to hear from other and see what my chances of getting in were now.

3 AP classes

National Honors Society
Applied for Business Marketing Major
Other activities: football, basketball, community service

I was accepted to NC State into CALS, majoring in biology.
GPA: 3.8uw
ACT: 27
Dual enrolled: currently have 26 credits.
Extracurriculars: Student Gov, yearbook, part-time job (25-28 hr/week), volunteering (hospital and pet shelter), and Toastmaster’s club (public speaking).

I know many people who have been deferred EA, and ended up getting in later. You still have a chance! You could try taking the ACT/SAT again and try to raise your score, or kiss butt your senior year and send in those grades (although your GPA is already high).

Hopeful, you probably have a good chance but you should be making sure you have other options.

Thank you for your input!

Hi! Did you ever end up getting in? We have similar stats and I got deferred as well? What were your senior year grades/test scores that ypu sent in? Thanks.
