Deferred U Mich Ann Arbor Class of 2021

@afluffymuffin That was my second LoCI response. My first was like yours.

…wait it’s mid March? When did that happen? =))

Mid-late April seems awful for a college decision, like “hey, here you go. You have two weeks to decide”

@Straightoutta7 But again, you can still look at your current options and figure it out from here. When and if you get in, you simply just move UofM up on the list to where ever it seems fit. It is not like you can’t make any decisions without all your letters in. Plus, if you do not get in ( and hopefully you do get in), you could not make any changes and roll with what you have.

I called Admissions today and they said all will be out by early April

Deferred EA. Have not heard anything since. Really freaking sucks when everything you’ve worked hard for for so many years doesn’t add up to be good enough. Something tells me I won’t get in. It’s been 4 whole months, and I’m sick of waiting -_- but I need to know before I commit to another college :// Why are you putting us through this U of M ://

“Early April” why can’t they just give us a definite date? Early April could mean April 1st, early April could mean April 10th, idk. Giving us an actual date makes it less painful. Seriously. Just release all the decisions on that one day :confused:

@UofMichigan1999 aight sorry, I was still deferred so I wasn’t sure if they made me undeclared b/c I couldn’t get into the poli sci program EA; that’s why I posted here. I was only thinking that b/c the UC’s work differently (I’m Californian so that’s what I’m used to) but thanks! (??)

@thenewstyped Yeah no problem! You genuinely didn’t know so that’s totally cool. Good luck with with picking a college. You probably have a couple of great options!

@UofMichigan1999
Yeh, and now that I think of it, that’s basically what I’m doing. If I get accepted, I’m going to U of M, if not, probably Purdue, maybe western. I just really want to go to Michigan

Do we think any decisions are coming out at midnight tn?

Not really

There’s no evidence suggesting that

nothing is for sure except we will all know by early april, nothing is guaranteed, we all just have to wait and see :wink:

I got deferred EA too, how are they giving us our final decisions?

considering their next U of M “chat” for admitted students on twitter is march 23rd, i’m assuming that’s when the last batch of decisions, or most of them should be out.

but like honestly the people that know they’re going to harvard or other top notch colleges and apply to u of m as their saftey school and get it, take up so many spots for people who are deferred rn or got rejected, when they know they’re not even gonna attend u of m. it really does suck.

does anyone know how many apps they received this year? i know last year it ws 55k, so im assuming its more than that.

@uofmfan Probably like 57,000

I thought they had tweeted that it was 10,000 more than last year…65,000 this year.
