Deferred U Mich Ann Arbor Class of 2021

At this point, I’m either going to be waitlisted or rejected - though I am hoping for an acceptance… I’m just so ticked off that admissions would take such a long time to notify us instead of telling us within a month.

nothing. absolutely nothing. screw this. i’m over checking my email and wolverine access everyday

@uofmfan - No you’re not. :wink:

Every night he checks and every morning he checks…so heartbreaking watching my son wait for the only school he’s ever wanted. To all those kids out there in the same situation…you’re not alone and it doesn’t make it any easier but know that for everyone of you here on CC there are hundred’s possibly thousands like you not on CC but they are with you!

Here’s to hoping tonight is the night! [-O<

Officially communicated completion date for currently ongoing COE HAIL interviews is March 26th. Hence, at least for most Michigan COE applicants, the chance of hearing back before or shortly after this due date is rather remote. Earliest date in my opinion will be Friday, March 31st, possibly first or second week of April. Again, this is for Michigan COE applicants, not sure about other college timetables @ Michigan.

@hpcsa I agree. I marked on my calendar back in February that the decision for CoE would be no sooner than March 31st due to ongoing HAIL interviews. Applied RD though.

Will umich ever release our decisions? Will pigs fly? Will there ever be world peace?

@mimimo7890 go to last years thread and see whts the trend… pick up some aaplicants from thr and pm them. They may tell u exact situation…
Just an idea

@hpcsa @SushiNinj I don’t think that’s true… 3 of my friends got accepted into CoE in mid Feb.

@notapsycopath yes, you are correct. I know some who have been accepted also. Even from RD. I should rephrase what i meant to be the bulk of decisions, ie the final decisions, won’t be out until after HAIL interviews are completed.

@notapsycopath we did not refer to those COE acceptances in February. Respective posts concerned COE applicants currently waiting for their admission decision.

My D is still waiting… Should we give up hope or still can be optimistic?

@MOCAILKY

Keep your optimism, this deferral struggle isn’t over yet.
Hope for the best, but be prepared should it be the worst. That’s what I say.

kinda off topic but everyone says calc 2 is the most failed class at umich because it’s so hard. i’m in precalc with trigonometry right now it’s hard for me to even maintain a B like i despise it so much but basically from the people i know that go to u of m i’ve heard all their classes are significantly harder then say msu or wsu :confused: which makes me reconsider even if i get in

At least we know all deferred decisions will be out next week…

@amarz12 Not true, they said Early April, that doesn’t mean April 1st…I hope they are out, but who knows at this point.

Last year they were quite later than usual with the final decisions! Keep your chins up!!

College counselor at my son’s school said UM is required to release all decisions by April 1, despite the “Early April” language.

Lets hope for next friday guys

I was checking the thread last year and a lot of decisions went out 3/31 and 4/1.
