Deferred U Mich Ann Arbor Class of 2021

Why were you thinking Tuesday? They have said it would be early (to mid) April for a long time so I would guess Friday midnight (going into Sat). They might as well take their time in the final steps they need to take. UMich is probably working on orientation stuff or ranking the waitlisted people. I would be shocked if they still are yet to finalize our fates.

That’s really spooky now that I think about it.

Yeah I’m just saying I hope that my decision is already made so it would be nice to have that confirmation.

It was April 1st last year.

They probably need more time because of the increase in the number of applications. Hopefully it is April 1st, but up till like April 7th (the first Friday of April) is a possibility. Unless there is a law saying they have to have released all decisions by the 1st. There should be if there isn’t. It would give us a month to decide our new home for the next four years.

I have been waiting since November and if I get waitlisted, I might just scream.

first they ruin our christmas breaks and now it’ll be our spring breaks [-X

after this much long waiting (and being frustrated), my D’s interest in the University of Michigan is vanishing day by day. By the time the decision is finally released, it might be totally gone.

The twitter accounts states they will hold an online session for admitted students on Tuesday. For that to make sense, they should have a decent number of students already admitted which suggests they should release some decisions before then. Of course, it could just be a session for a select few already admitted…

Everyone let’s calm it down a notch…the majority of decisions come out March 31st/April 1st, which is just what U Mich promised when they said “Early April”. 5 more days. Just wait 5 more days.

^^ Obviously not EVERYONE will hear this coming weekend, which is the unfair part. In fact this entire “rolling admissions” thing…they need to set a specific date, just like they did with EA that you would hear by Dec 24th. Why couldn’t they do that with the reg decisions/deferred people…

I keep refreshing my inbox but I know when I see that U Mich e-mail pop in there I’m gonna be sick to my stomach, because if the subject header doesn’t have “Congrats” or “You’re in” is there even gonna be a point of opening it…

At the end of the day… U Mich is just a school. For example, you could become a doctor after going to U Mich, and you can become a doctor going to say…MSU. When it’s all over and done, people will applaud you for what you’ve become, not necessarily what university you went to …keeping that mindset even if I don’t get in.

goodnight all, see ya’ll friday for hopefully some “I GOT IN!” posts

But we won’t be as happy as in University of Michigan in next four years if we end up somewhere aren’t our first choice :((

Everyday I say to myself “I am going to be rejected by the University of Michigan”

Very helpful

I tried that with Georgia Tech but it still sucked *** when I saw the rejection letter

@UofMorMSU I had that same mentality for all my schools so I don’t disappoint myself no matter what results I get. I can hope for, but never expect acceptances. Well that’s how I take life, anyway. I’m a pessimist :stuck_out_tongue:

@UofMorMSU Dude just like what u guess I am from China haha. Accepted by uw Madison and planing to study its political sci and psy. I know Umich is a bit better though.

I got deferred EA and was accepted march 10. I am still waiting on Ross though… anyone have any idea when I would find out??

no.

@umich21boyyy Wrong thread, bub

Anyone else feel like they would rather be rejected than wait listed? At this point, I am leaving everything up to God and hoping for the best - Michigan being the dream school for someone who is pretty under qualified for their standards  If I get that wait list, I’ll be angry. Very angry.
