Deferred U Mich Ann Arbor Class of 2021

@uofmhopeful15 how is that low end when the everage gpa is 3.8 and average act is 30. sit down you’re gonna get in

yeah i get MSU is the 2nd best school in michigan, their cost of attendance is literally the same as U Mich and they hand out no scholarships AT all… WSU gave me a 20k scholarship, and is 3rd best in the state.

the average gpa is 3.87 and average act is 31-32

University of Michigan when it hits 12am on 3/30:
“Thank you for your interest in the University of Michigan. After an individualized and comprehensive review in your application…”

@UofMorMSU everyone wants to get into LSA. it’s a toughie

@uofmfan my unweighted GPA is 3.65 so it’s still tough

SAT 1520 (ACT 34)
GPA 3.80

Sat 1520
GPA: 3.1 (really low)
I was already surprised that I got deferred instead of rejected but looking at things now rejection should be the decision to expect

I’m in the same boat as you @by032799
I was also surprised when I got deferred. If I get rejected (which will most likely happen), I’ll still be grateful that they gave me an extra chance after early action.

Ivy League decisions come out tomorrow. They might let those come in first, just so those people will cancel their application. This in turn (presumably) creates more space for us, deferred applicants. Honestly, the more we wait, the more spots open up. I am definitely willing to wait for the first couple of weeks of April in an attempt to increase my chances. At this point, I am more worried about getting into the place the than having to wait.

Let’s all just chill out and relax. Everything will (eventually) work itself out when we are least expecting it. Good luck guys! These next couple of months are going to be wild with colleges and dancin’.

Will university of Michigan tell me to apply as a transfer in the deny letter?

@Hardzworker yes, I believe they bring that up as an option near the end of the letter

I also bet they will release the students likely to get into an ivy before us to make sure those students steal our spots. Very few Ivy students will withdraw Michigan. If I got into Harvard, the last thing I would worry about is withdrawing Michigan.

@gdcap62 - here differed and waiting.

I’m in timeout smh

ACT: 32.25 (not super-scored)
GPA: 3.9
7th Semester GPA: 4.11 UW 3 AP & 2 Honors of 6 classes
IS
Legacy
This would be my top choice, so I really hope to get in.

Why is everyone posting their stats smh. Just filling the thread with unnecessary replies.

@UofmorMSU same lol. mine’s over in 2 days tho.

@uofmfan I feel that I’m in the same boat with scholarships I think I’m going to eastern’s honors college it’s all so expensive and they gave me a nice scholarship but a Bunch of kids I know end up there and I don’t want to see them

My friend just texted me saying she got an email of her acceptance! I’m so happy for her, but sad that there’s nothing in my email.

WA is down

Edit: Scratch that
