I’m super jet lagged which is why I’m up at this hour but was emailed about being wait listed at 10 pm, found out on WA yesterday morning, declined

- For those that got in- Congrats! Go Blue!
- For those that didnt’ get in- Get excited about where you are going and make it your number #1. Two years ago, Stanford was my daughter’s #1 and UM #2. She didnt get into Stanford, but happily went to UM and it’s definitely her number 1 now! If she was offered a guaranteed transfer to Stanford, she would stay at UM. Frankly, with her performance at UM, she could probably transfer easily…so get pumped about where you are going and make it your #1.
- For those that don’t like the process, it does stink, but don’t blame UM. Some kids apply to 15+ schools these days. The Common App makes it so easy. With so many applications from qualified canditates, ALL elitie schools are rejecting totally qualified kids. It’s the new norm. Some kids get into UM and waitlliested at UVA others get into UVA and waitlisted a UM…etc, etc, etc.
If you are on this thread, your are probably a great student. Go make it happen wherever you go. Best.
It’s April 1st. EA Deferred. Still no decision - no email, nothing in WA besides my deferral letter. Looks like I’m gonna be one of the applicants waiting until like April 15th. Am I the only person on this thread who still hasn’t been accepted/rejected/ or waitlisted??
@uofmfan nope i’m still waiting. i think it’ll be this Thursday but that’s just speculation. some people i know have been getting in at random times (not in waves) so just keep checking… good luck! keep us updated!
I was deferred in December also , still nothing on my WA . This is frustrating.
They said on the automated voice recording when I called that the rest of the deferred students would hear IN April, not by April. It’s April and I agree it’s so frustrating but there shouldn’t be too much longer of a wait!

mostly courseload and grades then test scores THEN essays, recs, activities, etc @uofmfan

One girl from my school found out on the portal yesterday around 2 and another on the portal when she woke up this morning and she said it wasn’t updated on WA until today
Just found out the girls who found out were RD not EA… ugh
