@bsangs @UofMichigan1999 I’m here to see updates. I want to know when Ross may come out and I’m still an applicant if I haven’t been admitted to Ross. I am no troll.
@TheShortSon Ross comes out on Fridays starting in March. You have your answer, now let us be. Thanks.
@UofMichigan1999 You’re such a savage. Marry me.
Anyone know when another batch of decisions could come out?
Hopefully more come out later this week. If anyone’s “view decision” link disappears at any point pls let us know!!
@TheShortSon NORMIES GET OUT! REEEEEEEEEEEE! GET OFF MY BOARD! REEEEEEEEEEEE!
When I sent my LOCI back in January, they replied saying that a reason that I was deferred was because I didn’t meet the 4 years of English requirement (They didn’t count my High School English credits I took in middle school or my Writing class I’m taking right now). Since it’s a requirement, does that mean I don’t have a chance of getting in? I wonder why they would defer me instead of reject me.
@DannieNguyen call the school. Get the right answer from them and make sure you get what they need and you don’t wait until you do get a denial due to lack of pre-req’s…good luck!
so just wondering…how many times a day do you check…just to make sure the last time you checked you checked? 8-}
@DannieNguyen I’m in pretty much the exact same situation. I have 2 English credits from an advanced middle school program, 1 from a test-out, and 1 from the AP Lang class which I actually took sophomore year. I called UM admissions after being deferred and they told me pretty much the exact same thing as you. I sent my LOCI in January and they gave me the response saying I’m a “very strong candidate for consideration,” so I’m hoping they might be overlooking the English credit issue for me. I know that they granted 4th-year English exemptions for some of my friends who weren’t doing English senior year (they were admitted early) but I’m not sure if they’ll consider exemption for a case as severe as mine. Did you also receive the “bad” deferral letter (says “we need more information in order to make a final decision”) like I did?
@APJunkie24 No I got the “Good” deferral letter (though, I am positive that that’s BS). That english thing is not my only weakness though, I also have a 3.6 recalculated GPA. Hopefully my rigor makes up for that.
That’s interesting; I thought that my English credit was the biggest reason they asked for additional information. It must have been because I’m graduating early. It’s nice to finally find someone else who had my same English issue; definitely post here if you get in to give hope to people like us.
@APJunkie24 Are you instate or OOS
@DannieNguyen I’m in-state, what about you?
@APJunkie24 I’m in-state as well!
@DannieNguyen Is your territory counselor Sarah Rice? I’m wondering if the English thing is a specific thing she does.
No, I have Robin Rivas. In her reply to my LOCI, it was the same generic response that people usually get as well as “unfortunately your gpa and english deficiency made you less competitive than our top applicants…”
Hmm, my LOCI reply definitely didn’t have that… the entire thing was generic. It could be a good or bad thing; the personal response could mean that they’re taking your application and interest more seriously, or it could mean that they’re preparing you for rejection. Oh well, I guess we’ll all know in early April…
no…don’t say that…hopefully Feb. or March! just kidding but really not…I hope we do hear sooner than April! <:-P =P~
Has there only been one major released this month?
