My daughter applied to Early admission at U of O school of architecture and was deferred. Do they let students know before April in this situation?
Deferred students are now part of the regular decision pool and are notified of their decision when the rest of the applicants are notified. It looks like Oregon(is this the U of O you’re speaking of?) notifies “by April 1”. Good luck to your daughter.
You can also look back at past cycles threads for the school on this forum to see around what date they actually sent out decisions for the RD cycle. They may commit to “by April 1” but actually send out decisions a bit earlier.
Which “U of O” ? Oklahoma ? Oregon ? Or ???
Generally those schools are colloquially referred to as U of O (Oregon) and OU (Oklahoma). Either is certainly possible as both offer architecture, but 99.9% sure it’s Oregon.
University of Oregon. Sorry.
Thanks for yoir reply! I was looking to see when the regular decision students found out and could not seem to find out any information on the school of architecture.
Your D can always email or call the admissions office and ask.
I can’t speak specifically related to U of O… but from dealing with the Architecture programs for my S23, it seemed many of them had specific administrators that were central to the admissions process and if you’re aware of who that might be at U of O, might be worth a note to them (continued interest and when you might expect to hear).
