I just got deferred from Tulane University and that has less than a 25% acceptance rate. Does that mean I don’t have a chance when it comes to Ivy Leagues? I was planning on applying to UPenn and Cornell, but now I’m not so sure.
I’d have to see your stats. Unless you’re so far beyond what Tulane would expect, i.e. 4.0, 1600, cured cancer, then yes, I’d say its unlikely; Tulane may decline applicants it thinks are unlikely to attend there if they’re accepted. But each school looks for their own thing, so you never know.
