Deferrence Stigma?

So…deferred applicants go right into the RD pool?

With a giant red block letter “DEFERRED” stamp on the manila envelope?

That’s a bit dramatic, but you get what I’m asking: Do deferred applicants get looked at as inherently less favorable? Or are they actually just considered Regular Decision applicants?

Do things they do from early decision time to the regular decision round count for anything?

I know no one here is an admissions officer at Yale…(uh…if you are…PM me with your address)…but there are a lot of you who have been on these forums much longer than I have.

Yeah. Think about all the talented deferred people. Compare that with the average pool of RD. If the percentage is the same, obviously the RD has some advantage in this.
