That said, I’m sure you are not the first admitted student to Yale from Singapore who wanted to defer for the two-year compulsory military service. So, call Yale Admissions on Monday and ask them. 001.203.432.9300. 8:30am–4:30pm Eastern Standard Time (Singapore is 12 hours ahead of New Haven, so you need to call after 8:30pm on Monday your time).
