Deferring US Loans Internationally

So, I’ll have some Perkins and Stafford loans after I graduate. I know Perkins loans can be deferred if you’re attending a graduate program in the US. However, if I were to attend a program in, say, Singapore, could I defer payment until graduating with a Master’s or PhD? I know interest would still accrue on any unsubsidized loans, but I’m now pondering some of my options upon graduation.

If it is an accepted qualified programme, so it has a FAFSA number for the school, for instance, yes you can defer UG loans whilst taking an abraod MA/PhD, but be careful on the reporting, many international schools use a service to report your status and you will likely need to have a special form filled out to make sure they properly defer you.
