Define "private blog"

I’m assuming that links to a blog I create at blogger.com or on my personal web page are TOS no-nos.

But what about links to a blog at a site like Huffington Post or a paid blog at some other established media source? Is that a non-private blog and an okay link?

Good question. Do Ezra Klein at the Washington Post, Ta-Nehisi Coates at the Atlantic or Kevin Drum at Mother Jones count as private, or not?

They shouldn’t count. Ta-Nehisi Coates is always worth quoting!

Err on the side of caution. I was once warned for posting a link to an article on
Politico under the blog rule (even though it was an article, not a blog, and Politico has a print edition).

I’ve posted links to blogs on the WSJ and that doesn’t seem to be a problem here. Of course those tend to be financial-related blog posts that are either like articles or opinion pieces.

Politico might be too close to politics.
