I had roughly a 3.6 and got into Brown and was waitlisted at Princeton. (I didn’t apply to the others)

Your question, however, won’t help predict your success, since at some schools, a 3.6 UW is only okay, while at others, it’s exceptional. It really depends what it means in the context of your school, what your classes were, etc.

congrats on getting into brown! that’s one of the schools that i’m shooting for ![]()
and when i say 3.78, i mean with all honors courses/ AP courses… basically the type of schedule that would challenge a student. for example, i will have taken about 20 honors courses and 10 AP courses by the time i graduate HS.

thanks so much for replying and congrats again!!

i got into cornell with a 3.8 (on my transcript when applying)
waitlisted at wharton in upenn

after senior year first semester, i was down to a ~3.75

a 3.78 is nothing to worry about for those schools
in my opinion as long as you have about a 3.7, you should be fine.

It would totally depend on what the GPA means at your school–you could be val or not even top 10%. It’s all about rank, whether your school formally ranks or not.

^
What about a 3.85 for HYPSM? With two Cs?

Quoting for emphasis.

Is that your unweighted GPA?

What is your rank?

^
Yeah, a 3.85 unweighted, 4.5 or better weighted.

Top 5 out of ~600, hopefully #1 by the end of junior year.

Also uroogla, i was wondering what kind of EC’s/ SAT scores you had to get waitlisted at princeton/ accepted to brown.
