Definition of a Valedictorian

I’ve got a 4.0 uw and I’m in full IB. My rank: 1/336. Weighted, I’m ranked 12/336, mainly because I’ve taken a few classes that brought my weighted GPA down. The top ranked person (well second cuz no one can figure out who is number one) has taken two more weighted classes than me. Am I still considered a Valedictorian (especially on college statistics), because of the uw 4.0 (not like it’s in easy classes either)?

Thanks!

no, weighted is what counts.

Well that sucks! I still woulda taken the classes and programs that brought me down.

i believe it depends on what your school considers the VD. If they use weighted for it, you are not, if they use unweighted, you are. You should ask your college counselor.

Well in that case, I’m considered one for the city newspaper and at graduation. (uw)
