What does each word mean and how do they differ from each other?

I’ve checked dictionaries but they all had obscure meanings…Plus I’ve seen a lot of people here use it, so can anyone help?

This is what I think when I hear “Subjective” and “Objective”

Subjective means that it will vary from person to person, and is influenced by personal feelings/biases. Music and art are said to be subjective. For a work of art, some people will love it, others will hate it.

Objective means that it’s clear-cut. Personal feelings are not a factor, and is observable. Races are objective because there is a clear winner (whoever has the fastest time). There’s no way to argue it.

I agree with CDN’s definitions.
Also, here are some from dictionary.com

Subjective: Particular to a given person; personal
Objective: Uninfluenced by emotions or personal prejudices

But I can understand what you mean about the obscure definitions, because for each word there’s like 8 different definitions and you sort of have to sift through them to find the one you want.
