Deirdre Flint -- Genius or Just Really Talented

I love good writing and I just discovered Deirdre Flint, a singer/songwriter of considerable talent and more wit than should be concentrated in any one Philadelphia woman. The ongoing “California Girls” thread inspired me to post here.

I was in Irvine recently and was listening to KUCI, the radio station of UC Irvine. I was a disc jockey there for three years when I was a student. It’s one of the world’s truly unique radio stations and still a shining example of all that’s good and bad with letting college students run a radio station all on their own with no control from a “Communications” department or the administration.

Anyway. As I was driving to my meeting at a law firm this song came on about cheerleaders and I was hooked. A sample lyric:

Another of my favorites is from her song We Fit Right:

“I’m well bred and you’re – well – not”

Also from the same song:

Anyone else a Deirdre fan? [Deirdre Flint - Music and information - HOME](http://www.deirdreflint.com/)

(It’s OK, WashMom knows. She’s a fan, too.)

Not really on topic, but do you also know that “Death of a Cheerleader” song?

Deirdre sounds pretty fun!

This album is getting really great reviews Really! I just downloaded it.
