A Delta State professor was killed in his office. The suspect was another Delta State professor who was also suspected of killing a women elsewhere. The university campus and nearby high schools were locked down as a precaution in an active shooter situation. When police caught up to the suspect later, he shot himself and died shortly thereafter.
Oh wow. I’m studying under a Native Studies scholar now and Divided Dominion (by Schmidt) is one of the books we’re tackling this semester.
I will never understand the need to take another life. He should’ve just taken his own and been done with it. (Not that I’m a fan of suicide but it sure as heck beats murder-suicide).
Crazy. What was the suspected motive? Why was this prof a target? Is it possible that Lamb suspected that his GF and this other prof were having an affair?
