Demographics by Major

Anyone know if this type of info exists for UC schools?

Sorta; you can do a breakdown on UC statfinder where it covers how many people were accepted by major and what demographics… It won’t necessarily be specific and tends to lop groups and majors together bigtime.

Tell ya the truth, I think it’s a bit of a dubious intent here lol. What are you looking for? If you’re the only insert race here that will be studying X major at Y school? Or to brag that almost all of X major students are Y race?

starts talking like foghorn leghorn
There’s nothing, and I mean nothing that naturally makes a person more likely to be an engineer than a linguist or a veterinarian. Yeah, you might grow up around vets and decide hey, I’m going to become a vet! But there’s a chance you could’ve been the next Albert Einstein had you gone into quantum physics…

Check out the story of one of my favorite inventors lol:

The dude grew up a farmer XD Lots of TV cameras used his tech

Sociology: <1% white

You can find some demographic information by academic department at UCLA here: [UCLA Office of Analysis and Information Management | AIM](http://www.aim.ucla.edu/aprs/apbaprs.asp)

This may not be what you’re looking for if it’s admissions information.
