Yes, UVa specifically says that “demonstrated interest” does not matter in admissions. Most colleges provide that information in their “common data set,” which you can usually find for each college through a google search.
I suggest working with your parents to save some of their vacation time and scheduling flexibility to attend accepted student days at whatever colleges you are considering after admission. UVa has some days during the winter for early admissions and then several days in April. If you can only visit UVa once, it is much better to attend an admitted student day (called Days on the Lawn) than a generic admissions tour. It will much more in-depth, and you will get a chance to see and hear more info about your intended program. Also, UVa will be offering overnight stays in residence halls for admitted students in the future.
