<p>Volunteering at a low income clinic, food bank, etc. Also clubs or other activities that advocate/educate about social issues such as poverty, literacy, gay rights, etc. Find a social problem that strikes home to you and find activities in your HS and in the community.</p>
<p>But, it’s more than showing up or doing whatever someone tells you to. Demonstrated commitment usually refers to commitment over time- and having taken on additional responsibilities for that cause.</p>
