<p>so I got into FSU but I got denied at UCF, which was my top school. this is what it says online:
Your application for admission to the University of Central Florida has been carefully considered by the Admissions staff. Due to the academic strength of this year’s applicant pool, we regret that we are unable to offer you admission for the Fall 2011 term. </p>
<p>I sent in a 27 ACT score, so I’m not really sure why I got denied. what can i do? i sent in a 3.1 unweighted as well, and this was after being deferred for semester grades</p>
<p>You could try to appeal the decision, but are you aware of why they denied you? What was your GPA, because a 27 ACT is great. If you can’t appeal, then the best thing to do whold be to reapply. I mean application are accepted up to may 1st, so you should be good. Also, if there isn’t anything wrong with your GPA, than their could have been a mix up in the system.</p>
<p>Theres really nothing much that you can do after being denied…unless u appeal…i dnt think u can re apply though…in fact im almost 99% sure that u cant…the only way to appeal is if u have a REALLY good reason of why ur appealing…if u go to ucf page and if u go to undergrad admissions, somewhere around there, it will tell u how to appeal. Not to get ur hopes down but it is reallyyyy hard to get accepted after being denied…but u can always try…Best of luck.</p>
<p>If ucf is ur number one choice and you REALLY want to go there…then u could always try to appeal the decision…if not then u could also consider going to Valencia Community college which is right next to UCF and guarantees a direct gateway to ucf…thats IF u dnt mind going to a community college for ur first two yrs of college. But FSU is a great school…it is better ranked than ucf…its number two in the state. But dont give up if ucf is ur top school :P</p>
<p>Yeah I agree with andreina, if you really want to go to UCF then don’t give up on your dream school. I didn’t know if you could not re apply, but I would definetely call and ask UCF themselves, just to be sure. If you can’t re apply or appeal, then it’s alright. As Andreina said you could attend the CC, and then transfer over to UCF. I wish you all the luck, and I hope you get to go to UCF:)</p>
