Last weeks Dennis DeTurck, dean of CAS, sent out an email for admitted students. I was looking at it on my phone and accidentally deleted it before I had a chance to read it. To make matters more complex, for some reason my friend who was also admitted did not receive the email. Can anybody post the content of the email to settle this confusion for my friend and me just incase it contained important info.

Thanks

did you try checking your trash folder?

There’s really nothing important, basically just “hey check it out, we’re on facebook…” lol

Dear Member of the College Class of 2014,

Congratulations, and welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences at Penn! All of your hard work in high school has paid off, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you to Penn’s campus in the fall. As a member of the Early Decision class, you form the core of what will make this class complete in many interesting ways.

Your early acceptance to Penn gives you the opportunity to enjoy your last semester as a high-school senior, and I have no doubt that you’ll take full advantage of it. But having definite plans for next year provides a different kind of opportunity. You now have some time to explore more fully the resources and programs of the College and of Penn, both on-line and in person.

First off, I invite you to become a fan of the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences on Facebook. This will enable you to get important reminders and news about the College. Likewise, feel free to socialize with your classmates through the College Class of 2014 group on Facebook.

I hope you’ll take some time to explore the College website [The College](<a href=“http://www.college.upenn.edu %5DThe”>http://www.college.upenn.edu ) to check out some of the resources we use to help students shape their academic programs, as well as sites like CUREJ, the College Undergraduate Research Electronic Journal, which features some of the outstanding work our students do.

You will hear from the College again in June when we assign advisors and you begin to plan your first semester’s work in earnest, although we’re always happy to hear from you. Meanwhile, I hope your remaining high school days will be successful and enjoyable, and that come fall you’ll arrive ready to take full advantage of all the College and Penn have to offer. Once again, congratulations, and welcome to the Penn family.
